Thanks to the reprinting of Tim Slessor's book, and the availability of BB's footage on DVD, interest in 'First Overland' has been rekindled all round the world. With so many Land Rover owners tracing their enthusiasm back to the book, this website is rapidly becoming a point of contact, and tribute to the original team of 6. Memories of other expeditions inspired by 'FO', and plans to replicate the journey (and even the original vehicles) are being reported here. There will also be news of further developments about the progress (in the case of SNX891) or discovery (in the case of SNX761) of the original cars.
