The Moorsholm 200 Club raises money for the Memorial Hall. For just £10 a year, members are entered in 10 monthly draws. Half the stake money is donated directly to the Hall funds — the rest is distributed as prizes.
This year there's been a takeup of 172 subscribers, which was more than in previous years, and made a welcome instant increase in Hall funds of £860 (which is much appreciated). This year's prizes are £40 for a First, £30 for a Second, and £15 for a Third. That leaves a small balance, which is adjusted in the final draw as a 'Bonus'.
The draw for the first 3 months was made at the Coronation 'Big Lunch' event in the Memorial Hall. Subsequent draws were made at Committee meetings.
