The Judges said:

There was a record entry this year, ranging from video journalists, to producers, to sound engineers and editors. Two of the shortlisted entries were journalists. LYTTANYA SHANNON from BBC North East showed how well she could build a rapport with interviewees, and ITV Border's VICTORIA HOE revealed a broad range of VJ skills — researching, shooting, editing and presenting most of her reports. The third was CHRIS CHAPMAN, in a new role at Dene Films, whose portfolio was direct and compelling.

With an entry that was breathtaking for the quality of skills on show, the winner is CHRIS CHAPMAN from Dene Films.
